A COPILOT FOR THE WORST KINDS OF CONDITIONS.
Hold course with Electronic Stability Control.
Say you're on a wet or icy road. If the Dodge Journey starts heading in a different direction than where you're steering, Electronic Stability Control helps restore directional control, using the right combination of brake and throttle.
Stay secure with 7 seven advanced airbags.
There's a certain security that comes with 7 seven advanced airbags. The front airbags sense the force of any impact and open in several stages. This technology helps keep the airbags from accidentally causing the kind of injury that they're built to prevent. Seat-mounted front airbags and a driver's knee blocker bolster airbag provide added protection. Side- curtain airbags help protect passengers in all three rows. We've loaded the Dodge Journey with technology to help avoid a crash, but if one happens, you'll be prepared if equipped with the Flexible Seating Group.
And we've built our advanced Safety & Security features with that in mind.
The Dodge Journey has a multitude of standard and available Safety & Security features. Available projector foglamps and quad halogen headlamps for bad weather or bad traffic. Available ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System+ and ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera+ help take the risks out of parking. And other sensors and systems help keep you from skidding off the road or rolling over.
Drive confidently with Electronic Roll Mitigation.
As a feature of Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM) continuously monitors vehicle speed and steering. When it senses a loss of control, ERM actively applies individual braking and reduces engine power to help prevent wheel lift, and reduce the possibility of a rollover.
Safety and Security measures in reverse.
A driver who's backing out of a parking space just can't see certain things, like a car coming from either side. As one of the Dodge Journey's available features, ParkSense Rear Park Assist System uses radar in the rear bumper to detect movement and warn you when something's coming.
With our eyes in the back of your head.
Parking can be a challenge sometimes. In a landscape loaded with SUVs, minivans, and pickup trucks, our available ParkView Rear Back Up Camera helps with parallel parking, backing out of parking spaces, and avoiding pedestrians. When combined with the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, ParkView gives drivers images to help them out.
