Vehicle Selector: Ram 1500 is Crowned the 2012 Canadian Truck King Challenge Winner

November 3, 2011 , Windsor, Ontario - The 2012 Ram 1500 today was named the "Best Half-Ton Pickup Truck" by the Canadian Truck King Challenge team. The announcement follows a few days of intensive real world truck evaluations with the focus on fuel consumption and capabilities. The testing included 8,000 lb (3,629 kg) of towing; 1,800 lb (817 kg) of heavy payload and some offroading performed by the Truck King Challenge judges in Central, Ontario.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) | No system can repeal the laws of physics or overcome careless driving actions. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. When the ESC warning lamp flashes, the driver needs to use less throttle and adapt speed and driving behaviour to prevailing road conditions.

Uconnect 430N or 730N | Never program while driving. GPS mapping may not be detailed in all areas or reflect current road regulations.

Front, Side Curtain, Front-Seat Side and Knee Blocker Air Bags | The advanced front air bags in this vehicle are certified to the federal regulations for advanced air bags. Children 12 years old and younger should always ride buckled up in a rear seat. Infants in rear-facing child restraints should never ride in the front seat of a vehicle with a passenger front air bag. All occupants should always wear their lap and shoulder belts properly.
